Antonio Huntsman comes to call soon after my father dies.
Unannounced, unapologetic, and unmistakably in charge.
With a dangerous gaze and bespoke suit, he looks every bit the man who haunts my dreams.
He wants my family’s priceless vineyards. I’m sure of it.
They’ll be the crowning jewel of his empire.
But I’m wrong.
He wants me.

Second-grade teacher, Amelie Graye, has not had an easy life. But she is finally settled, living a quiet life in her pack waiting for her destined mate. She finds out Royal wolf Zayne Lyall is her mate, and while he already feels the thrall and she doesn’t, Amelie is still drawn to him.
Their relationship is threatened when Amelie is caught between Zayne and her first love, Knox, and a two-hundred-year-old grudge. She tries to negotiate peace between the two, but it soon becomes apparent the Royal wolves will meet in battle.
Though they both suffered extreme loss in their lives, Zayne and Amelie were polar opposites. He was closed off, distant, and held his emotions inside, while Amelie was open, friendly, and quite talkative. I enjoyed watching his character evolve as he did everything he could to keep his mate safe, including sleeping outside her home every night. They make a great couple and I loved how when they finally let their guards down, they talked to each other, holding nothing back.
Amelia was a strong, independent character. Even though her cousin and friends all were mated, she didn’t sulk and whine, but was a strong, positive force loved and included in everything by her friends.
She let me down a bit when Knox showed up though. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but felt she allowed him to get too close. The Royal Pack was her family and Zayne was her mate, and she should have trusted their warnings one-hundred-percent from the beginning. However, she found her efforts to broker peace were futile and no match for the hatred and anger between Zayne and Knox.
Supporting characters all have great personalities and I enjoyed their banter. I even enjoyed villains Knox and his sister, Zara. As they tried to appear friendly and accommodating, I could feel their contempt for the Lyalls and Storms rumbling just beneath the surface.
Excellent writing and well-developed characters not only make this a great read but make me want to read more of the Royal series!
In his 200 years of life, Zayne Lyall has made his share of enemies. The most ruthless of all being Knox Channon, who seeks vengeance for a pack war that took place over a hundred years ago.
To gain information he can use to bring Zayne down, Knox reconnects with Amelie Graye, a past love who joined the Royal pack Zayne belongs to. Unfortunately, Amelie doesn’t know much about the royal arctic… despite a longing within her to be near him.
Amelie and Knox have a tumultuous past that ended after she and her family went rogue following an attack by the Sierra pack. While she has no details to offer about Zayne, Knox sniffing around her leaves his inner wolf snarling.
More than anything Zayne wants to charge in and protect the woman his heart aches for. But he has a secret… and it could cost him everything. Amelie is his fated mate. If Knox were to discover this, he would know hurting her would be the key to destroying Zayne. Torn between his desire to claim Amelie as his own and his ferocious passion to protect her, can Zayne find a way to bring down his malicious enemy? Or will an age old vendetta rob him of a blissful future with his bonded mate?

It’s not unusual for tensions to run high in the tiny town of Morningstar where humans and wolf shifters reside together. Nothing and no one has been able to overcome the years of mistrust, hate, and attacks, and recent murders of humans, along with the approaching Chaos—the wolves’ mating season—is only making the situation worse.
Quinn, head alpha of four packs, keeps his clans in line, but it’s the rogue wolves living on the town’s periphery, that are the problem. This includes Vandal Reid; the wolf Quinn has been on a nine-year mission to kill. Vandal is responsible for the death of Quinn’s father and the scaring of his mother. He has no thoughts of mating or raising a family… only revenge.
Until his hunt for the killer wolf leads him to Tess Warner.
This quick, steamy paranormal romance takes familiar elements of the shifter world and spins them just enough to make this read unique!
Loved the well-written characters of gruff, frustrated Quinn and laid-back, free-spirit Teague, Tess’s kid brother. They’re the perfect blend of push and pull in the story that kept Tess off-center. But it’s Tess who gets the favorite character nod. The young herbalist runs the successful family business handed down to her and takes care of Teague. Period. She walks the fine line between humans and shifters and will not be bullied or bossed around.
I would like to have known more about her background that Quinn senses, but to be fair, this is the only book in the Wolves of Chaos Valley series I’ve read, so I don’t know if characters/story lines are interconnected in previous books. I was also annoyed by her one TSTL moment, but she was being a good big sister and friend and quickly won me back over with her fight-to-the-end spirit.
It’s a good read that has me considering the rest of the series and Haunted Wolf. Don’t miss the sneak peek of this one after Feral Breed.
The Chaos is coming . . .
Humans and werewolves don’t mix.
We don’t share drinks at the bar, shop at the same stores, or even live in the same part of town.
There’s no trust, just decades of superstition and haunting rumors of a dark night only spoken about in hushed whispers.
I know what everyone fears.
After all, my shop is located in the center of the city.
When people want natural and herbal remedies, they come to me.
My family has helped the people of Morningstar for generations.
I hate the shifters as much as they do.
When the handsome alpha breaks into my shop and hurls accusations, I’m determined to set him straight . . . until all hell breaks loose.
I’m the Alpha.
It’s my responsibility to ensure my clan is protected from the humans.
Four packs that rely on the Hogan brothers to keep their secrets and families safe.
Years of mistrust, lies, and carnage have placed a wedge between my kind and the humans.
Just when I have it all under control a new threat emerges.
It’s not just my people that are in danger.
To top it off, the need for a mate surges in my blood as the Chaos approaches.
I had it all figured out until I recognized a new and tantalizing scent and the female it belongs to:
A human with a special gift, a sexy smile, and an aura that calls to me in a way I can’t seem to resist.
My dad had a saying, “I can show you better than I can tell you,” and it’s perfect for Brianna O’Kennan and Liam Doughty. What begins as a hostage situation becomes a marriage of convenience… and a perfect match-up hotter than a five-alarm fire!
They enhance and support each other’s positive traits and flaws as Bree gets her a dream… a ruling position in the family business. Organized crime. While not a poor man, the marriage nets professional hitman, Liam, more money than he’d ever imagined. The big plus was it wasn’t money directly connected to his own dysfunctional mafia family.
When I learned Bree was only twenty years old, I almost eye-rolled myself into another dimension. I wasn’t ready for a spoiled mafia princess who whined her way through the story and was TSTL.
But Bree smacked me with a reality check and made a believer and supporter out of me. Like her family, I was quick to underestimate and judge her. And I was wrong. Savvy and with the wisdom of someone twice her age, Brianna O’Kennan owns this story
Arguably the best assassin in the business, Liam’s name strikes fear at the mere mention. He’s good at killing, but what sets him apart is he doesn’t torture or kill because of some twisted inner need. Being a hitman allows him to be an independent contractor, free of the family he loathes, and free to decline permanent positions from organizations like the one run by Bree’s father, Vernon.
It’s Vernon’s refusal to pay for a contracted job that leads Liam to kidnap Bree. And it’s Bree’s contempt for her father’s attitude… and the fine print, that takes Liam and Bree from captor and hostage to a black wedding.
I love a story with a couple that doesn’t waste time on pettiness, whining, and battles between the sexes. I love a couple who knows what they want but aren’t afraid to want more. Black Wedding delivers that couple. Their issues aren’t with each other, but the dangerous world they’re both a part of.
This well-written read isn’t a romantic comedy. It is truly a dark romance with several scenes that could be triggering to some readers. There is deceit, betrayal, blackmail, extortion, more kidnapping, murder, and sexual assault. Someone doesn’t want a female in a position of power and seeks to stop Bree from taking over. But they have no idea how strong and ruthless she is, or to what lengths Liam will go to protect her. I’m looking forward to seeing how Liam and Bree deal with a few “loose ends” the next book, and of course, Kellan and Mia’s story!
“Oh, Princess, not only can I say it, I can do it too. I was just trying to be polite with you, but I won’t hold back if you want the real me. So yes, what I’m asking is if the sack of shits you dated before could give you earth-shattering, toe-curling orgasms, whether they had finished first or not.” His voice has taken on a new gravely tone that sounds almost raspy. As he speaks, he practically growls. The sound of him talking about the mind-blowing orgasms he claims he can give has my ovaries clenching and my pussy starting to feel wet.
“Never…I’ve never had an orgasm given to me by someone else,” I whisper, hoping the ground will swallow me up. Instead, my admission rings through the air as though I shouted it.
“Fuck, you really have dated a lot of twatwaffles. I have no idea what will happen between us or if we will ever progress to a sexual relationship in our marriage, but I can fucking guarantee that you will come every time with me. I would make sure my tongue craves your taste, my fingers desperate to feel your pussy hungrily grip them for more, and my cock owning all your holes. I would make sure I learnt to play your body like a complex instrument, and only I know how to make you sing. You can rule in public, but I am always in charge when it comes to sex, and whether you want to or not, your body would bend to my will. I would own you.” The dirtiness of his words, the hard, sensual look on his face, and the short, sharp breathy moans he releases as he speaks tip me over the edge.
