2018 was a busy year here on Nesie’s Place with more than half of its nearly 100,000 views amassed in that year alone!

Many thanks to followers and visitors for your comments, likes, shares, and support.

The blog is being revamped with a new look and new features for 2019.

While book tours and promotions will still be featured on Nesie’s Place, more book reviews and author-centric and writing-specific topics will replace the daily book posts.

Book posts are not gone completely—I’ll always share great finds and sales, and Indie authors are always welcome to showcase their latest release, cover reveal or book promotion by contacting me here.

I’m scheduling author interviews and bios for Tuesday Talks with… and interested authors can join in the fun and introduce themselves (again) by contacting me here.

Life has been nipping at my heels the last few weeks throwing my writing schedule off into the universe. Waves goodbye. It will be a while before I see “normal” again… whatever that is, but the release of Family Matters, book 2 of In the Best Interest of the Child, is not far away… just not as close as I’d like… like last month!  😉

As the end of the first week of July Camp NaNoWriMo nears, I am perplexed. I’m not sure if I should be…

Cautiously optimistic,

Over-the-moon ecstatic, planning a party and inviting everyone I’ve ever met, or

Terrified,

… because I have not encountered one problem… yet.

Words flow each time I open the WIP.

Characters are cooperating and not staging coups of silence.

My word count surpassed 12K this morning.

Looks around, confused.

What is going on?

It’s not that I want problems but every writer expects them. I know a couple who even add meltdown to their publishing timeline.

No matter how excited, geeked, amped, psyched, or pumped a writer gets about their latest project, the negative stalkers are unavoidable.

The icy fingers of You Can’t Do This tickle the back of your neck.
