#AudioTour “Stolen Obsession (The Annalisse Series Book 1)” by Marlene M. Bell

WELCOME FROM THE AUTHOR

I’m so excited you’ve dropped in to visit the AUDIOBOOKWORM PROMOTIONS ANNALISSE SERIES Tour! This is the second mystery in the series that spans New York with worldwide destinations. Big city life disappears as Spent Identity journeys to Walker Family Farm in upstate New York. The quiet home of Annalisse’s beloved Aunt Kate.

Be warned though; writing stories where the reader must figure out villains and their motives through intricate puzzles is what I do! Spent Identity is a novel that will have you turning pages, gasping at the audacity of the characters, and at times, shaking your head at Annalisse’s decisions— sometimes unwise— but she manages to unravel even the most twisted clues.

A continuation from the first installment, Stolen Obsession, Annalisse not only addresses her failed relationship with Alec Zavos, she uncovers a betrayal that crushes her in Spent Identity. Grab a paperback or eBook and see if you can uncover the family secrets before she does. I dare you!

Greg Adams, a criminal psychologist at Scotland Yard, specialises in bringing serial killers to justice. He tracks down a spree serial killer nicknamed the Divine, who has already killed six teenage girls and is about to kill a seventh. Greg works out the location where he is hiding and joins a raid. The police capture the Divine and save the girl, but on the very same night, Greg’s wife is brutally murdered by another serial killer, known as the Dreamer.

A year later, unable to bring the killer to justice, Greg has quit his job and is ready to end it all, when he receives a phone call from a man who tells him the Dreamer is dead, and that he didn’t kill Greg’s wife, Kate.

Greg returns to Scotland Yard to work for Superintendent Chief Detective Donaldson in the hope he can re-examine the case with the help of two new detectives, Finch and Matthews.

As Greg delves into the case further, he becomes more convinced that the Dreamer wasn’t the man responsible for his wife’s murder.

But if it wasn’t the Dreamer, who was it?

In order to solve the mystery around his wife’s murder, Greg is going to have to delve even deeper into the mind of a terrifying psychopath. And this time he might not make it back in one piece…

The Dead Tells Lies is a fast-paced serial killer thriller with shocking psychological undertones. It’s the perfect read for fans of authors like Mark Edwards, D. S. Butler and Robert Bryndza.

Song Lyric Sunday | “Lost in Love” – Air Supply

SLS Banner

Song Lyric Sunday was created by Helen Vahdati from This Thing Called Life One Word at a Time and author Jim Adams from A Unique Title For Me is our current guest host. For complete rules or to join in the fun, click here.

This week’s theme is  Air/Earth/Fire/Water.

~~~~~~~~~~
I’m sure I’m not the only one who went in this direction this week, but I chose a group with one of the prompt words in their name – Air Supply!
Lost in Love originally appeared on the group’s Life Support album in 1979, which was released in Australia. The group re-recorded the song for the album Lost In Love in 1980 and this version was released as a single in the US, reaching number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
FUN FACTS:
  • Founding members Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell met on May 12, 1975 while performing in the Australian production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
  • Lost in Love spent four weeks at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 1980 and topped the Billboard adult contemporary chart for six weeks that same year.
  • Although their music had some commercial success, Russell claimed, on a 1995 DVD, that he and Hitchcock were so poor that they checked the backs of hotel sofas for change so that they could buy bread to make toast.
There are two music videos for Lost in Love. One, an official video, has Air Supply singing on a blue background, while their entire band of additional personnel play their music for them. The other one has Air Supply singing live at a concert.
And you get to see them both!
Enjoy!
