You’re not who you say you are. Neither is she.
She thinks she knows me.
She believes my marriage is falling apart at the seams, that my husband can barely look me in the eyes. She thinks I’m desperate for a baby, that my longing for a family keeps me up at night. As much as I hate to admit it, all of this is true.
She thinks I listen to her advice, that I care about her opinion. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Because she has no idea who I am. She has no clue that I know everything.
I know her secret. I know that she did the unforgivable. I know how many lives she ruined.
I know exactly what she did. And I’m here for her.
An utterly gripping, addictive and shocking read about the dark secrets we’re ashamed to admit, and the lengths people go to for revenge. Fans of K.L. Slater, My Lovely Wife and The Wife Between Us will be racing through the pages, gasping at the twists, and reeling from the explosive ending of this unmissable page-turner.
Readers absolutely love I Know Your Secret:

‘Wow oh wow! I knew this was going to be a good book, but I wasn’t prepared for how good… This definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, it has been completely unpredictable and a fantastic read from start to finish. I haven’t been able to put this one down… I devoured this book in just one sitting, I was completely sucked in… This is definitely a five-star book, although in my personal opinion it should have more than five stars!’ LittleMissBookLover87, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

#Featured “Unthinkable Sins: Book 1” by Tiffani Quarles-Sanders
~~~
A family’s darkest secrets are about to be revealed.
Jerome Durham is an up-and-coming black politician who faces a dilemma when his elderly mother starts showing signs of dementia.
Until now, the family and friends of elderly Hattie Durham have known her to be a God-fearing, law abiding Christian woman. But as her aging mind starts to unravel, Hattie begins confessing to a litany of sins she’s committed throughout her lifetime. During several conversations, she tells stories that describe emotional incidents she went through in her life, unconsciously giving the reasons for the terrible things she did in her later years.
Jerome does not know if his mother’s confessional is driven by guilt or revenge, or just an unfortunate random consequence of her illness, but he’s not sure he can wait to find out. His career is at stake if she tells anyone how his own past mistakes are entwined with hers. Neither he nor his wife is about to let that happen.
#Featured “The Dentist (The DS Cross Mysteries Book 1)” by Tim Sullivan
~~~
A homeless man. Violently strangled. No leads. Except his past.
#5 Amazon bestseller Contemporary British Fiction #26 bestseller crime fiction #26 bestseller mystery action fiction (6/26/20)
An outsider himself, DS George Cross is drawn to this case. The discovery of the dead man’s connection to an old cold case then pulls Cross in further. Convinced this is where the answer to the murder lies, he sets about solving another that someone has spent the past fifteen years thinking they’ve got away with.
Cross’ relentless obsession with logic, detail and patterns is what makes him so irritatingly brilliant. It doesn’t exactly make him popular with colleagues or his superiors, though. He has numerous enemies in the force wanting to see him fail.
Red flags are soon raised as suspicious inconsistencies and errors in the original detective’s investigation come to light. Now retired, this ex-cop has powerful friends in the force and a long-standing dislike of Cross.
Set in picturesque Bristol in the Southwest of England, it’s not long before the city reveals its dark underbelly, in a case of intriguing twists and turns whose result astonishes even those involved.
Difficult and awkward, maybe. But Cross has the best conviction rate in Avon & Somerset Police. By far. Will this case put an end to that?

Song Lyric Sunday | “Heat of the Moment” – After 7
Song Lyric Sunday was created by Helen Vahdati from This Thing Called Life One Word at a Time and author Jim Adams from A Unique Title For Me is our current guest host. For complete rules or to join in the fun, click here.
This week’s theme is “Cool/Freeze/Heat/Melt.”
~~~~~~~~~~
Heat of the Moment was one of those songs. When it was released as the lead single from the self-titled debut album of R&B group After 7 in August of 1989, it went all the way to #5 on the Billboard R&B charts but stalled at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the single re-entered the Hot 100 in late 1990 and went all the way to #19.
The song was co-written by singer/songwriter/record executives Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Antonio “L.A.” Reid, founders of LaFace Records. Babyface is also the younger brother of After 7 members Melvin and Kevon Edmonds.
FUN FACTS:
- Keith Mitchell, the third member of the group, was marketed as the cousin of L.A. Reid. The men were not related. Mitchell was a college buddy of Kevon Edmonds.
- After 7’s debut album was certified platinum by the RIAA in November 1990.
- After suffering a stroke in 2011, elder brother, Melvin, had been in poor health, but seemed to rebound in recent years, rejoining the group in 2016 for its comeback album, Timeless. But he died unexpectedly in May of 2019 at the age of 65.
With the temps in Tucson reaching triple digits everyday for over a week, I know how the women in the Heat of the Moment video feel. The guys are trying to hook up and the looks the ladies give them are hilarious!
Enjoy!
Heat of the Moment
You’re gonna do wrong
I made a mistake girl..Just let me..
Just let me explain
Although I did it
I’ve never been that kinda man
I must admit it
I wasn’t with it
But you were the best I’ve ever had
I’ve always thought I was
A faithful kind of man
I never thought I would be tempted
Baby you licked my lips
And I said right now…right now
Baby I lost my head. Lost my mind
Didn’t know what to do
In the heat of the moment
Baby I fell in lust with you
Oh how I want it
But I’ve got to be a stronger man
I love my lady
Can’t lose my baby
Cause if she knew
I’d lose everything I have
From now on I promise I will be a better man
But here you are again temptin’
Baby when you lick my lips. I said
Right now, right now
From now on I promise I will be a better man
Now…Now I know that you know
That we can’t carry on like this
Girl stop…just stop
Baby when you kissed my lips, I said
Right now…Right now
From now on I promise I will be a better man
Now…Now I know that you know
That we can’t carry on like this
Girl stop…just stop
Baby when you kissed my lips, I said
Right now…Right now
From now on I promise I will be a better man
Now…Now I know that you know
That we can’t carry on like this
Girl stop…just stop
Baby when you kissed my lips, I said
Right now…Right now
From now on I promise I will be a better man
Now…Now I know that you know
That we can’t carry on like this
Girl stop…just stop
Baby when you kissed my lips, I said
Right now…Right now
