Length: 1 hour 57 minutes

Publisher: Dr. John Reizer

Genre: Medical Thriller

WAND is a revolutionary new medical tool that cures diseased tissues in human beings without the use of drugs or surgery. Ten years in design and production, the technology has a 95% success rate in curing most forms of cancer in animals and human beings.

The brainchild of 48-year-old Harvard Medical School graduate, Clyde Daniel, WAND (Wave-Altering-Nanoparticle-Disrupter) is going to move the profession of medicine out of the dark ages and into something that closely resembles science fiction. That is, unless the pharmaceutical industry, which stands to lose billions of dollars in lost drug revenues, can intervene with its hired assassins and destroy the technology and its team of creators before it ever has a chance to see the light of day.

The Target List is a medical science fiction thriller, a real pause-resister that will have listeners hooked from the first chapter through the very end of the book.

Author John Reizer’s Reasons to listen to this book

My most recent novel, The Target List was written and recorded with the dual intention to entertain its listeners while teaching them about the many machinations currently taking place within organized medicine and through its handler, the pharmaceutical industry.

This book delves into a subject that most authors would probably steer away from. But one of the great things about being an indie author is that you have the creative freedom to do what you want.

The Target List is an important book, in my opinion, because it exposes listeners to certain truths embedded within a fictional construct that they wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to.

The idea for the book was borne out of my deep desire to educate healthcare consumers about these concepts and to do so through a fictional plot so that listeners would actually absorb the material and not be concerned that it was too far removed from the conventional paradigms that have been etched into our collective psyche.

What he doesn’t realize is that this stubborn woman may be the most challenging mission yet.

Caroline
Caroline’s overprotective father reaches a new extreme when he hires a bodyguard to watch over her. She’d happily spend her time with the muscled hunk oozing masculinity unlike the boys she’s met before but she resists — convinced he’s not there to keep her safe but to keep her from living her life. Caroline refuses to be controlled by her father or the strong, tough soldier her dad sent to protect her.

He’s a killer able to reach even the most untouchable marks and she’s his new obsession. Watching from his balcony, Hunter can’t fight the force pulling him toward the girl who just moved in across the street. The sexy little brunette bouncing around her apartment unpacking boxes has him searching for a way to get closer. He never expected to be watching from the shadows as the police take her away. If he wants a chance with her, he has no choice but to follow.

All Addy wanted was a new beginning and a chance at a normal life after leaving her cheating ex. She never expected her new start to include witnessing a brutal crime and being forced to relocate while the police searched for the killer. Finding herself waiting tables alone in a new town isn’t exactly the start she was hoping for until the handsome stranger at table four turns her world upside down.

Crossing the Line is a standalone Romantic Suspense / Mystery novel with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers.
Contains violent scenes and sexual situations. Mature readers only. Adults 18+

Mason
Mason Carlile loves his career as an explosives expert for a secret government agency. The danger, intrigue, and complexities of his job make him a valuable asset. When the Agency is under attack by a group determined to take them down, they need him more than ever. Delivering on his commitment to the Agency may be impossible, though, since he’s wanted by the local police for murder. He’ll do anything to clear his name and fight for his colleagues–even if it means forcing himself into the home of an innocent, unsuspecting artist.

Hana
Hana Moore lives a quiet, creative existence as a struggling painter. When her home is invaded by a mysterious man supposedly running from the police, her world is turned upside down. Completely freaked out, she struggles to reconcile her fear of her captor with some sense of normalcy, as he hides out in her home and disrupts her everyday life. Even though she knows he’s not what he seems, Hana can’t help feeling safe with him, and finds herself wanting to help.

Both captor and hostage are careful to draw the line between what they want and what they must do. But sometimes, the heart has other plans.

For as long as she can remember, Nikki Rose has enjoyed writing stories. For years, writing was just a hobby for this South Carolina native. It was a way to let out all the stories floating around in her head. After one of those stories took on a mind of its own, outgrowing even the parameters of a single book, Rose knew she had to pursue her dream.

Married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Rose feels she is truly living out a romance story of her very own. As a stay at home mom of two, she is blessed with the time needed to work on her writing career full-time while her kids are at school or in the wee hours while normal people sleep. She considers herself a music-obsessed chocoholic and hopeless romantic who enjoys weaving romance stories with a healthy dose of mystery and suspense.

Life Lessons at The House That Sat Down!

By Alice May

The homes we build for ourselves are a place of sanctuary, but what happens if we lose them?

One very ordinary family had the misfortune to find out…

Alice May1Five years ago, I stood on my drive and watched two huge cracks work their way up the front and gable walls of my cob cottage. A huge corner section of the house started to lean slowly away from the rest of the property and, within an hour and a half, my husband, my four children and I were homeless. Our insurance company informed us that, even though we had a ‘fully comprehensive’ house insurance policy, we were not covered for the damage to our home. Believe it or not, we moved into a tent in our back garden.

It was a shock to say the very least. However, it was also the beginning of an incredible journey, one that was to teach us a great many things. I will confess, they were not all things I wanted to know, but there was little choice but to jolly well get on with it.

Life was incredibly hard for the subsequent eighteen months, as we fought to rebuild our home and move back in.

Nevertheless, it should be remembered that nothing is ever all  bad and, thankfully, we didn’t lose our senses of humour along with our home. A great many daft things were about to happen in that crazy, new, garden-based lifestyle of ours. There were so many unexpected positives to the situation. During those months, the six of us became much closer together – and not merely due to the fact that we were all crammed into one relatively tiny tent.

Sometime later, I was inspired to write The House That Sat Down Trilogy, a fictional tale that draws on my experience of that stage in my life; the frighteningly sudden homelessness and all that followed.

I wanted to give a glimpse into how ordinary life – which is often challenging enough for most people – can become almost impossible, with just one fundamental element changing, causing a shockwave that ricochets through everything else.

However, The House That Sat Down Trilogy is not a doom- and gloom-laden rant, it is a light and whimsical romp through an extraordinary life event. Told entirely from a mother’s point of view, it is packed with humorous anecdotes about the craziness of family life under extreme pressure. Yet, at the same time, it also covers the devastating emotional price that, ultimately, had to be paid for on-going survival.

We all take our homes for granted, the roof overhead, the security and warmth of being protected from the weather and the outside world. Your home is supposed to be a safe space and, to most people, it is almost unthinkable that it could be lost in the blink of an eye, but, that is what happened to our rather quirky family unit and it certainly triggered some rather interesting consequences.

I hope our story shows that life does go on regardless, and that sometimes disaster can have surprisingly positive results. It’s important to remember to keep calm and carry on! Be brave, be kind and believe.

One step at a time, it is possible overcome a great many things.

Love Alice

Inspired by a true story, The House That Sat Down Trilogy is a tale of triumph over tragedy. It is an astonishing account of sudden, first-world homelessness in the heart of the New Forest, and the unexpected consequences. Written entirely from a mother’s point of view, following the collapse of her family’s home, it is an uplifting and positive read in spite of the subject matter, with a thread of wry humour throughout. Follow this ordinary woman on an extraordinary journey of survival and self-discovery as she reels from disaster, before picking herself up and coming back stronger and wiser than before.

Packed with humorous observations about what it is like to live in a tent in your garden with your husband and four children after a significant part of your house falls down out of the blue one day, this story takes you from the depths of despair right through to the satisfying heights of success against the odds, with lots of tea and cakes on the way.

Follow this crazy family as they cope with disaster in their own truly unique and rather mad way, and celebrate each small triumph along the way with them.

Alice May2About the Author

I am a multi-tasking parent to four not-so-small children, and I am fortunate enough to be married to (probably) the most patient man on the planet.  We live in, what used to be, a ramshackle old cottage in the country. Our house began to fall down out of the blue one day, which resulted in the whole family living in a tent in the back garden for quite some time, while we worked out how to rebuild our home.

A few years afterwards, I decided to write a book and, once I started, I found I couldn’t stop.

Inspired by true-life events ‘Accidental Damage – tales from the house that sat down’ wouldn’t leave me alone until it was written.

Within six months of self-publishing my novel, I was delighted to learn that it had won two ‘Chill with a Book Awards’. This was a massive honour and motivated me to continue writing. Accidental Damage became the first book in a trilogy.

The Omnibus edition of all three books in the House That Sat Down Trilogy is now available via Amazon in both paperback and kindle format.
