I Care ‘Bout You is from the soundtrack of the 1997 movie, Soul Food, starring Vanessa Williams.

The song is performed by the quartet group Milestone, which is actually artist and super music producer, Babyface, with his brothers, Kevon and Melvin Edmonds, and brothers Cedric ‘K-Ci’ & Joel ‘JoJo’ Hailey, (formerly of the chart-topping R & B group, Jodeci) who all came together only to record the single and appear in the movie.

The soundtrack was a huge success, peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200, #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and was certified 2x Multi-Platinum on February 17, 1998. Four singles made it to the Billboard Hot 100: I Care ‘Bout You, Total’s What About Us?, Dru Hill’s We’re Not Making Love No More, and Boys II Men’s A Song for Mama—making it to 23, 16, 13, and 7 on the chart, respectively. A Song for Mama was also a #1 R&B single.

The official video is an amazing blend of the group, movie clips… and picture frames!

The second video is a live performance from Oprah. Milestone does a great job, of course, but it’s the audience reactions that truly make the video. They really get into it!
