I just wanted a place where I could be free, with other Empowered “renegades.” My friends died trying to be free, but I was captured and sentenced to Special Corrections.

I just turned twenty-one and been paroled. But a gang wants to use my power for crime, threatening my family when I refuse. A secretive government agency gives me a choice—go back to prison for life, or work for them, and infiltrate a dangerous criminal group.
