The theme for Song Lyric Sunday this week is “sleep.”

I did that weird opposites thingy again with the theme this week so I could post one of my favorite songs, Awake by Josh Groban.
This song is about being in the moment in life. Not taking any moment you are presented with for granted. Groban wrote and recorded this song for his third studio album, also titled Awake. It did not make the cut for the actual album, so it was added as a bonus track. Awake did make the charts, just missing the top ten on the Hot Adult Contemporary listing.

Josh Groban has a voice that is perfect for musicals. He’s not bad to listen to on an early Sunday Morning when you want something peaceful and quiet. Great choice for the prompt.

I am not a fan of Josh Groban. I don’t know why, just can’t get into him. Nice twist for the prompt though.

I get that. I’m not a fan in the sense that I run to see him in concert, collect memorabilia or even follow him on social media…but, maaaan, I can listen to him sing for hours. LOL! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week! 🙂
