Dr. Ashley Denmark comes from humble beginnings as the daughter of a carpenter. She was born and raised on the north side of Saint Louis, Missouri. Rather than becoming a product of her environment, she decided to become a product of her imagination and pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.

Her journey into medicine was not easy, but following her dreams has taken her to many wonderful places—from Spelman, to Tulane, and to even Harvard.

She is now a family medicine physician with a strong passion to inspire others to follow their dreams. It is her hope this book will serve as a source of motivation to inspire the next generation of doctors!
